Chakras

The chakras are energetic gateways or etheric constructs that represent evolving lessons in consciousness. They are often symbolized as flowers. The chakras each have a central core, which first is activated as awareness is brought to the chakras and kundalini is awakened. Each chakra has a different number of petals each representing a specific opportunity for growth regarding a life lesson. If the petal is not there or improperly grown then it represents the chance to grow in life. Ideally the entire chakra is properly developed then its petals are evenly grown and it represents a place upon which that person can draw power. The 50 petals that reside on the seven chakras represent the 50 characters of the sankrit alphabet. There are also 7 primary seed sounds or bijas that help awaken the chakras.

The chakras are seated along the pathway of shushumna also along the governing vessel. The chakras are also intercepted by the primary nadis that flow in an undulating fashion up the chakras. These nadis are known as ida and pingala. They are the yin and yang of the nadis and help regulate the solar and lunar or masculine and feminine energies within the body.
